Design fee estimate · August 2026

A considered
home, resolved
as one.

Prepared for
Kitty & Simon

A cohesive design direction for the kitchen, dining, snug, office, bathrooms and wardrobes—developed in detail before construction begins.

↓
The opportunity

More than a collection
of renovated rooms.

Thank you for walking us through the house and speaking so openly about what is working, what isn’t, and how you would ultimately like the home to feel.

This project involves more than selecting finishes for the rooms as they stand. There are meaningful spatial and functional decisions to resolve—particularly through the kitchen, bathrooms, wardrobes and lower level.

Our role is to test those decisions carefully, visualise them in three dimensions and carry one consistent design language through the home before the work is documented for construction.

Relaxed and clean.
Elevated, but never vanilla.

How the design develops

From possibility
to resolution.

The fee includes our initial measure and briefing, broader product and material specification, and four formal presentations. Each stage answers a different question before we move forward.

  1. 01
    Spatial direction

Testing layouts, adjacencies and how each space can work better.

  2. 02
    3D development

Seeing volumes, proportions, joinery and relationships before committing.

  3. 03
    Material language

Building a calm, cohesive palette across the entire home.

  4. 04
    Detailed resolution

Resolving storage, lighting, fixtures and construction information for tender.

Why resolve it now?
Good documentation does more than describe an idea. It allows the idea to be priced, built and understood.

Working through the home as one project avoids isolated decisions, mismatched details and costly changes once construction is underway.

It also creates a resolved master plan. The building work can then be staged around budget, timing and disruption without losing the overall design intention.

Fixed fee proposal

$49,380.00

Including GST

An investment in clarity before construction.

This estimate covers the complete scope above: initial measure and briefing, spatial planning, 3D design, four formal presentations, material and product specification, joinery development, and drawings for tender.

It is an initial indication. A formal proposal will set out the stages, deliverables, timing and engagement terms in full.
